There’s something strange in the neighborhood, and we’re a bit excited!
A trailer for a BRAND NEW Ghostbusters movie has just been released, and it hints at a return to the franchises original glory days!
After the underwhelming all-female cast reboot in 2016 failed to capture fans attention, this new clip has been released by Jason Reitman, the son of original Ghostbusters director, the late Ivan Reitman.
The 45-second clip doesn’t reveal to much, but it does include the original Ghostbusters car and music that featured in the first two films from 1984 and 1989.
Ghostbusters Trailer (1984)
“I’ve always thought of myself as the first Ghostbusters fan, when I was a 6-year-old visiting the set. I wanted to make a movie for all the other fans,”
“This is the next chapter in the original franchise. It is not a reboot. What happened in the ‘80s happened in the ‘80s, and this is set in the present day.”
There is no word yet on whether the original stars Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, or Bill Murray will appear in the film.
The fourth Ghostbuster Harold Ramis passed away in 2014.
The film is scheduled to be released in the middle of next year, with shooting expected to start in the coming months.
