Hershey’s Chocolate recently filed a lawsuit to ban Cadbury from importing its products into the US.
The American confectioner (Hershey) owns the exclusive right to sell the American version of many British chocolate bars, including Cadbury’s products. It is now claiming trademark infringement against suppliers who are importing authentic Cadbury’s chocolate from England.
The ban has sparked widespread panic among the public, who enjoy the authentic Cadbury chocolate hailing from it’s original British roots. Many people have rushed to shops across America to stock up on supplies of the blacklisted British-made chocolate.
The hashtag #BoycottHershey is now trending on social media.

Individuals are stocking up so much they are offering their own services to sell the authentic chocolate to others. A British couple has even launched their own business called “British Chocolate Club’ which will ship original Cadbury chocolate to those in need.
Customers can request their favourites including, Toffee Crisps, Boosts, Caramel bars and chocolate buttons or they can ask for a surprise package. The owners of the British Chocolate Club say their black-listed chocolate sales are completely above-board as the Hershey’s ruling doesn’t cover individual customers or private households.
