Billy Idol is coming to Australia!

The pop-punk legend will be bringing his biggest hits like White Wedding, Dancing With Myself, Eyes Without A Face and Rebel Yell to the Australian Open Live stage will on January 29.

“I love playing in Australia,” Idol said. “The group I’m bringing down with me are probably the best version of my band that’s ever been.

“We’re firing up on stage, it’s a real ‘take no prisoners’ way of performing. These songs demand a certain quality, and that’s what’s going to be so great and fun to play.

“I love Australia, and I can’t wait to get back there.”

Tennis Australia boss Craig Tiley said: “I’m sure there are a lot of AO fans out there who are as excited as I am to see Billy Idol perform some of his biggest hits like Rebel Yell at the Australian Open 2020.”

“Music is such an important part of the tournament and Billy Idol is just the first of many stellar acts to be announced,” Tiley said. “The AO Live Stage line-up is set to be bigger than ever next January.”


Tickets for the much-anticipated gig will go live Australian Open general ground passes become available in October.
