Some wax models look so uncannily like their real subjects that it can be hard to tell apart.

Ariana Grande, on the other hand, had no such luck with her new Madame Tussauds likeness.

Following the figure being unveiled on the Madame Tussauds Twitter, Ariana was throwing shade in Instagram comments.

Madame Tussauds is massive; across their 13 venues around the world they have MASSIVE stars. Their one Australian venue in Sydney has the likenesses of Johnny Depp, Ryan Gosling, Chris Hemsworth, and that’s just skimming the surface.

Not long before unveiling the figure itself, Madame Tussauds reached out to the public to vote on what outfit to give the figurine, but this couldn’t even save them from the Arianators.

Each of Madame Tussauds models takes three to four months to complete, worked on by a team of around 15 artists. The first step of the process is sitting down with the subject so that they can compare the pieces to ensure accuracy. The jury is out on what went wrong, but some fans are even suggesting they used the wrong reference for Ariana.

The figure will be at Madame Tussauds’ London for 5 weeks, but that’s too long for some.
