OMG! This is the news we need this Tuesday morning – the hit songs from Alanis Morissette’s legendary album Jagged Little Pill is becoming a stage musical and is heading to Broadway in November this year!

“Inspired by the themes and emotions of Alanis Morissette’s Grammy Award-winning album, JAGGED LITTLE PILL is “a big-hearted musical that breaks the mold” (The New York Times), directed by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus (Waitress, Pippin), with an “urgent and wickedly funny” (The Boston Globe) book by Academy Award® winner Diablo Cody (Juno, Tully),their official site outlines the team behind the project.

Juno-esque dialogue is all we could have hoped for to match the tone of Alanis Morissette.

Wow wow wow – we are so stoked this is happening, and we’re not the only ones.

Variety says “not since RENT, has a musical invested so many bravura roles with so much individual life.”

It will be starring Kathryn Gallagher (you may recognise her from Netflix’s You), Celia Rose Gooding, Derek Klena (Anastasia), Sean Allan Krill (Honeymoon in Vegas), Lauren Patten (Fun Home) and Elizabeth Stanley (On the Town).

The musical will feature iconic songs like “Ironic” and “Hand In My Pocket” – remember this music video? The best.
