Somewhere in Victoria, someone doesn’t know they’ve won $36 million.
Last night’s record $110 million Powerball Lottery has gone off – the biggest ever in Australian history – but officials are yet to make contact with the Victorian winner.
“Imagine going to bed a multi-millionaire and not knowing it? That is the reality for two Australian lottery players tonight after they scored division one in tonight’s Powerball draw,” Bronwyn Spencer, a spokesperson for The Lott, said.
“The division one winning entry from Victoria is unregistered, which means we don’t have any way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news and have to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
“While the New South Wales entry was purchased online, unfortunately we don’t have their complete contact details so we are unable to make a mind-blowing phone call to them.
“That is why we are encouraging everyone in New South Wales and Victoria to check their entries because they may be the multi-millionaires we are searching for.”
