Victorian Council Cracks Down On Dogs At NINE Beaches
Dog owners across the Mornington Peninsula are furious over a plan to put the chain back on unruly pets.
Mornington Peninsula Shire Council has flagged a big crackdown across the nine southern Peninsula teachers.
Owners are furious that their dogs will not be able to cool down in the sea water on hot summer days.
Council officers will be targeting dogs at Balnarring, Capel Sound, Dromana, Merricks, Point King, Point Leo, Shoreham, Somers and Whitecliffs beaches.
Officers will be checking that dogs are registered, on a lead and under control as well as owners are picking up after their pets.
