Alleged Victorian Teenage Killer Fronts Court
A young woman who allegedly murdered a man she met on a dating app is due to face a Melbourne court on Tuesday.
Jamie Lee Dolheguy, 19, is accused of murdering Maulin Rathod on July 24 last year at Sunshine.
In November, Dolheguy faced Melbourne Magistrates Court, with her lawyers flagging they would argue she was either mentally impaired or unfit to plead.
"It was obvious from day one this was going to be about psychiatric status," magistrate Charlie Rozencwajg said at the time, critical of the matter's slow progress.
The court was told she would be assessed by a psychiatrist as her mental state would be a key factor in the case.
Dolheguy will return to the same court on Tuesday for a committal hearing, which will determine if the matter goes to trial.
