Train Timetables Impacted This Morning After Horror Crash
Metro Trains have advised that services on the Belgrave and Lilydale lines are still being impacted after yesterday's terrible crash.
Two people in their 70s, both from Camberwell, were killed as their car was crushed at Surrey Hills station at around 4pm yesterday.
Trains were instantly suspended on both lines between Camberwell and Box Hill with buses replacing trains.
Because of this Metro Trains have advised that some trains on the lines are not in their regular positions this morning, so there will be some cancellations as a result.
A spokesman from the Police said that most services resumed at about midnight last night, and that traffic should be back to normal surrounding Surrey Hills train station.
Metro Trains has said that the 6.56am Ringwood to Flinders Street train and the 7:02am Mooroolbark to Flinders Street train have both been cancelled today.
