The Weather Change That Melbourne Has Waited For Is Coming
The worst of Melbourne’s wild weather has passed for now, but we are about to get hit by a weird week of weather.
Overnight we were affected by severe winds and flash flooding that led to the SES receiving 600 calls for assistance and homes in Healesville, Warburton and Bendigo without power. However, it isn’t going to last.
Senior Forecaster for the Bureau of Meteorology Scott Williams told the Herald Sun ‘’“It will be showery today and tomorrow, with temperatures down because of yesterday’s front.”
However, it is going to get better after a little bit of a colder start to the week as Melbourne will hit 26 degrees on Friday and Mildura will see 31 degrees.
Flood warnings are still in place for the Werribee River catchment area and will remain until the front has passed.
