The Bizarre Story Of Missing Melbourne Parents

UPDATE: The mother, Coby Tromp has turned up at Yass hospital. Police are with her.

Her husband is still missing.

The car of missing Melbourne couple Mark and Coby Tromp has been found after a bizarre incident in Victoria’s northeast.

A Wangaratta man has told police that he noticed a grey Peugeot station wagon was following him and girlfriend around the streets at 10 PM last night.

After being followed for a while, the man saw a strange car, which is registered to the missing Silvan couple, stop near Merriwa Park.

A man suddenly then leapt out of the driver’s seat and ran off into darkness.

Wangaratta police, with the assistance of the Dog Squad, have now searched the park but have failed to find the driver of the dumped car.

Nobody else has seen them since.

The couple were reported missing on Tuesday afternoon to New South Wales police in Goulburn.

It is believed the couple left their residence in Silvan, east of Melbourne, on August 29 and travelled with their three adult children to NSW.

However, when they arrived in Bathurst, they separated from their family and had not been seen since.

Victoria Police has advised the public that the couple left their home without their mobile phones or bank cards, and there are now grave concerns for their safety.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or if they believe they sight Mark or Coby Tromp, please call triple-0 (000).
