Suspicious Fire At Primary School In Melbourne's North
There's been a fire at a primary school in Melbourne's north and Police are treating the circumstances as suspicious.
Police are at the scene and at this stage are still waiting on arson experts to arrive at the scene at
Reports have said that the fire started at around 9:30pm last night. Firefighters say the fire was started outside the portable classroom and then spread to the inside.
Senior Station Officer Geoffrey Hughes has told Channel 9 News that it was lucky they arrived so quickly as they were able to stop the fire from spreading to multiple other classrooms.
The external part of the building now has minor damage and it is expected that the damage bill will be at around the $150,000 mark.
