Police Need Your Help Following Horrific Attack On Tram

A young woman has been held down by thugs, assaulted and then robbed as her father was pushed off a Melbourne tram.

The incident happened as they travelled from Carlton into the city on a route 86 tram around 2pm on Friday November 4.

The 23-year-old Queensland victim was approached by a woman and two men who had been annoying other passengers.

An argument then broke out between the trio and the victim and she was then punched in the face.

The two men held the victim while the woman punched her multiple times.

Her father attempted to intervene but was knocked down the steps of the tram in the struggle. One of the thugs took off with the victim's phone which contained her debit card, her licence and a small amount of cash.


The stolen card was then used to purchase goods at several locations in the CBD.

The female offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, solid build with light brown/blonde hair tied up in a bun.

Both male offenders are perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, aged in their mid to late 20s.
