Body Of Missing NSW Woman Found In Suitcase In Car
The body of a missing NSW woman has been found by police, stuffed inside a suitcase, following the search of a vehicle in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the body is believed to be that of missing 32-year-old woman, Preethi Reddy, who went missing gone Sunday morning shortly after telling her family that she was on her way home.
Police issued a public appeal for Sydney Dentist Dr Preethi and released images of her and her missing grey Volkswagen Golf in an attempt to locate her.
However, at about 9:30pm on Tuesday, police found her body inside a parked car in Stratchan Lane, Kingsford.
“Inquiries by officers from Sydney City Police Area Command are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death,” said police in a statement.
“Investigators are urging anyone with information relating to this incident to come forward.”
The woman’s family and friends had earlier issued grave concerns for her welfare as the disappearance was out of character.
Dr Reddy, a dentist from western Sydney, drove her car to a dental conference in St Leonards in Sydney’s north shore on Friday.
She was last seen on CCTV at about 2:15am on Sunday morning inside a McDonald’s at the Strand Arcade wearing a dark-green, long-sleeved top, black pants and black ballet flats. She left the store alone and walked south on Market Street.
At 11am on Sunday the 32-year-old spoke with her family, telling them she was having a late breakfast before heading home.
She was not seen or heard from since.
Inquiries by officers from Sydney City Police Area Command are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
Investigators are urging anyone with information relating to this incident to come forward.
