Police Divers Find Body Of Man Inside Cliff Plunge Car
A man's body has been pulled from a submerged car on Sydney's northern beaches.
Police were called to the end of Queenscliff Road in Queenscliff at 1.40am, following reports something had gone over the cliff.
Witnesses said they had discovered a broken fence after hearing a loud bang, with a light also spotted in the water.
Police divers entered the waters off the Queenscliff headland just after 11am and found a car sitting on its roof, the ABC reports.
The body of a man was found in the submerged vehicle at 11.30am, and it is believed to be suicide.
Police say there is no evidence the man's death is suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
