Police Appeal For Help After YET ANOTHER Home Invasion

Geelong Crime Investigation unit detectives are appealing for the pub;pics help after a home invasion took place in Hamlyn Heights this week.

Detectives have bene told the victim was in his lounge room when he heard someone open the front door of his Chaucer Street home on August 22, just before 7PM.

The 93-year-old father in the property was confronted by a man with a knife who threatened him and a 67-year-old man was beaten around the head . he was left injured with severe bruising and swelling.

His father ran out of the home to get help from a neighbour who raised the alarm. The offender made off with a large amount of money and credit cards jumping the rear bench to get away.

Investigators are also appealing for information about a man, described as aged 20-25 years, unshaven, of medium height and with dark coloured skin, who is reported to have knocked on the door of the home earlier the same day and had a discussion with the victims’ father.

It is understood this man may have been involved in the evening attack.
