One thing about the AFL Grand Final has already made history
It's the biggest game of the season. Players work all year in anticipation of making it to the AFL Grand Final. And some never, ever get there.
Well, this year is a whole other ballgame.
For the first time in the history of the AFL, not a single player in either team - the Richmond Tigers and the Adelaide Crows - has ever played in a grand final before.
The last time there was a complete list of grand final newbies was in 1898, the very first VFL grand final.
The players' nerves will be next-level!
But it's not the only long odds that could bring big returns.
Back in February, a punter with TAB bet $37 for Dustin Martin to win the Brownlow Medal, and
Richmond to win the AFL Premiership. If the Tigers win, they'll walk home with $32,227.
Another TAB punter bet $10 back in March for Martin to win the Brownlow Medal, Richmond to win the AFL Premiership, AND
Melbourne to win the NRL Premiership. And if they win it all, that $10 becomes $25,245.
You win, drinks are on you!
