New Zealand Court Hands Down Charges To Alleged Killer
The Christchurch mosque gunman has now formally been charged with 50 counts of murder and 39 counts of attempted murder.
The Australian alleged murder has been remanded in custody since March 15 when the attacks took place.
Initially, he was only charged with one count of murder while police investigations continued.
Police have not ruled out laying further charges.
Earlier this week a High Court judge ruled media would not be allowed to film or take photos of the accused when he appears.
