Melbourne Urged To Do 'One Thing It Shouldn't Have To Do'
Police are urging Melbournians to help them identify two men who are believed to be behind an attempted carjacking south-east of Melbourne on Saturday.
A 22-year-old was waiting at the intersection of Princes Highway and Gray Street in Traralgon at 4:45 pm when two men, one of which had a knife, approached her car.
The woman managed to lock the doors before the men tried to open them. They then ran away.
Senior Constable Andrew Lappin said it was lucky the woman had locked her doors.
"You shouldn't have to, but it is a good idea to lock your doors when driving," he said.
