Melbourne McDonald's Held Up In APEX Style Attack
Four armed men, armed with large kitchen knives stole cash in a robbery at McDonalds on EastLink last night.
Knox Sergeant John Hess has said that four men walked into the rear of the restaurant, which is part of the BP service station in Scoresby, before approaching staff and demanding money.
Hess went on to say that a fifth man opened the rear door and it set off an alarm, which caused the group to panic.
The group got away with a ‘substantial amount’ of cash, leaving in a stolen Holden Commodore with falsified plates.
Another offence happened just 20 minutes later in Officer and is believed to have been undertaken by the same group.
Nobody was physically hurt but police are speaking to witnesses and examining footage.
There is no link to the Apex gang but anyone with any details is asked to go to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au
