Melbourne Is About To Suffer Its Worst Week Of The Year!

The strongest cold front of the year is about to hit Australia’s south east and will bring arctic winds, icy rain and up to 40cm of snow with it.

A series of slow-moving cold fronts will bring thunderstorms and gale force winds across multiple states and territories including much of NSW and Victoria over the coming three days. 'This is the strongest winter system we've seen so far this season,' Weatherzone meteorologist Rob Sharpe told Nine News.

Melbourne will see it’s temperatures plummet to just 14 degrees for the next three days and rain is likely, too.

Towards the end of the week, will see an increase of 1 degree to 15 but don’t expect a great weekend, with rain set to fall heavily throughout.

If you are heading to the snow though a large pool of cold air would wrap around the Alps bringing freezing temperatures and 'some of the best snow so far this season' 20-40cm of snow.

So.. it could be bad news or good news!
