Melbourne Is About To Absolutely Cop It For DAYS!

Australia’s wild weather has started, with Sydney and Adelaide both drenched by rain overnight.

Close to 9mm of rain fell in Sydney, while Adelaide was lashed by hail and nearly 14mm of rain on Friday afternoom.

Mildura, in Victoria's north, was among the hardest hit areas, with wild winds and heavy rain leaving more than 8,500 people without power.

About 30mm of rain also fell in the area, with Victoria's SES receiving more than 350 calls for assistance, mainly for damage to property or falling trees.

While Melbourne and Brisbane escaped the worst of the weather on Friday, it seems likely they'll be copping the brunt of it for the remainder of the weekend.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, senior meteorologist at Weatherzone said ‘’The windy and wet conditions we saw in Mildura will persist across much of Victoria tomorrow, especially in Melbourne.’’

Melbourne is expected to hit 24 degrees on Saturday but the temperature will drop to 17 degrees once the cold front sweeps across the city.
