Melbourne In Gridlock, Trains Overcrowded As Rain Hits

Melbourne is having a shocker of a morning on the roads as drivers fail to drive to conditions.

Drivers are not to blame for the powerlines that are down on Shows Road, Werribee between Stewart Drive and Templeton Court.

However, there has been a two-car crash on the corner of Canterbury and Middleborough roads, Box Hill and a tow truck is at Glenferrie and Riversdale roads, Hawthorn.

All southbound lanes are closed at Kooyong Road, at High Street in Armadale after a car broke down.

Also on the Western Ring Road, there is a car broken down near Airport Drive, Tullamarine. The car is blocking a right hand lane Altona-bound.

And on the trains, there is overcrowding on the Sunbury line.

Passengers have taken to twitter to vent their frustration over cancelled trains.
