Melbourne Grandma Killed Crossing Road & Police Need Help
Police are urging any witnesses to come forward after a grandma was killed crossing a local road on Sunday, in Melbourne's western suburbs.
The woman, who was aged 72 and lived in Sunshine West, died on McIntyres Road in Sunshine North, just past 7pm.
The woman was with a friend at the time, who is a 74-year-old Sunshine North woman, who was seriously injured in the crash and is currently in hospital.
Police investigators believe that the people in two cars - a gold Honda CRV and a sedan, might have driven around the scene following a collision - and are hoping any of them come forward.
A man has been charged with dangerous driving which caused the crash. The 40-year-old Truganina man will appear in court later this year.
