Man Held At Knifepoint In Melbourne's Latest Home Invasion
A Dandenong man was held at knifepoint while burglars trashed his home last Thursday night.
The 30-year-old man was alone in his Grandview Avenue home when he heard a noise at about 10 PM and opened the front door, expecting it to be his partner.
Instead, three boys, described as being of ‘African decent’ barged inside.
One of the teenagers is alleged to have held the man at knifepoint while the other two ransacked the house.
Over $2,500 of electrical equipment, including a laptop and a phone, plus a wallet was stolen and the burglars took off in a Holden Accord, with the registration WUB 881.
Dandenong detective Sen-Constable Tony Lavars said the victim was punched in the mouth during the attack.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, or anyone who has seen the car, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
