Man Dies After Altercation With Melbourne Bunnings Security
An alleged would-be-thief has died in hospital after fighting with security guards who attempted to arrest him at a Frankston Bunnings store.
The man was detained by security staff at 11:15am on Monday morning but an altercation ensued and the man suffered a medical episode in the car park.
“Upon police arrival the 31-year-old Frankston man complained he was unwell and was taken to hospital by paramedics,” Sgt Richards said.
The man then died in hospital on Monday night.
Ambulance Victoria said the man was rushed to Frankston Hospital in a critical condition but they did not specify any injuries.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
