Magnitude 2.6 Earthquake Hits Mornington Peninsula

Residents on the Mornington Peninsula have felt a magnitude 2.6 earthquake. 

The earthquake was felt yesterday at approximately 11:45AM, with the epicentre on Port Phillip Bay.

The Herald Sun revealed that there has been more than 15 reports from people who felt the quake around the Seaford, Frankston, Mornington and Bonbeach area.  

The Bureau of Meteorology has reported that there is no tsunami threat to Australia. 

There have also been no official reports of damage sustained as a result of the quake, according to Victoria State Emergency Services.
