It's ACTUALLY Happening! Melbourne Will Get Hit By Snow!

It's happening.

Melbourne will get hit by snow as the Bureau of Meteorology has forecast that snow will come down to 700 metres on Friday which means higher ground close to Melbourne such as the Yarra Ranges and possibly Mount Dandenong could see flurries of powder.

Further afield, the Grampians and Mount Macedon will also get a dusting.

Senior forecaster Richard Carlyon said Friday was going to be the biggest day for snow across the state saying ''"It is fairly close to the metropolitan region due to a strong cold front moving up from the south,"

"It's a southwesterly airstream coming from a long way south west of Tasmania."

Metro Melbourne will miss out but will face a cold and windy day with low temperatures of 7 or 8 degrees with afternoon showers.

Oh and remember, the top temperature on Friday is 11 degrees. SO RUG UP!
