Get Ready Melbourne! We Are About To Cop Some Serious Wind

A low-pressure system and a cold front are set to begin its journey across Victoria on Saturday and Sunday.

Damaging winds are therefore expected and will average between 50 and 65km/h with winds gusts peaking at around 90km.

The trough is expected to hit the Central, South West, North Central and parts of the East Gippsland, North East, West and South Gippsland and Wimmera Forecast Districts.

Peak gusts may reach 110km/h on higher ground but will start to settle towards Sunday afternoon.

Melbourne itself is likely to see winds between 55-66km/h during Saturday afternoon and into Sunday morning.

Hopefully, no power lines will be hit this time.
