CUTE! First Look At Sea World's New Baby Dolphin!
Gold Coast theme park Sea World has welcomed its first male baby bottlenose dolphin in almost a decade.
Dusty, a 15kg calf, was born at the park on December 7 to first-time mother Jinx.
The park's marine mammal supervisor Andy Mulville said Dusty was swimming strongly and suckling milk.
"He is a very energetic calf and has been starting to develop his personality as he cheekily follows mum around the lagoon," Mr Mulville said.
"Sea World has a successful dolphin breeding program which showcases how the extensive natural sand bottom lagoons at the park promote social enrichment and interactions which lead to breeding and nursing."
Guests to the park will be able to view the calf during the school holidays.
