Cross-dressing Man WANTED After Attacking 16-Year-Old

A 16-year-old schoolgirl was assaulted by a man dressed in women’s clothes as she walked to a school bus stop in Parkdale yesterday morning.

The girl was walking alone down McSwain Street, Parkdale, at 8 am and was looking down at her books when she was approached by a man who began screaming at her.

The man chased her and threw coffee on her.

Cheltenham police are investigating whether there is a link between this attack and another on a 14-year-old girl at Mentone on July 19.

The girl in that incident was sat at Charman Road bus stop at 4:17 PM when she was approached by a crossdresser who threw faeces and urine at her.

The man is described as being between 50 to 60, with short grey hair, wearing a pink or red long-sleeved sweater, brown skirt and high-heeled shoes.

Police believe the man has been seen wearing a shoulder length dark brown wig.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Cheltenham Police on 9583 9767.
