Concerns Over Missing Melbourne Teenager

A teenager who went missing from her Wheelers Hill home twelve days ago, has not used her phone or social media accounts.

Penelope ‘Penny’ Pouflias, 15, was last seen at her home on Heatherlea Drive on October 8 around 9 AM and she has not contacted her friends or family since.

“We saw her walk out the back door in her pyjamas carrying a handbag, we thought she’d just gone into the backyard,” Penny’s mother, Helena Pouflis said.

“About half an hour later we were wondering where she was. She was gone.” There have since been unconfirmed sightings of Penelope in the CBD on October 15 and 18, but it has failed to generate any leads.

“It’s very unusual, considering her age. You’d consider that most teenagers would be active on Facebook or their phones,” Sergeant Carl Keenan said.

Penelope is described as being 160cm tall, slim build with bleached white blonde hair which is usually worn in a bun and a nose ring.

She was last seen wearing black pyjama pants, a white jumper and carrying a black Kate Hill handbag.

Anyone who sees Penelope is urged to contact the Glen Waverley Police Station on 9566 1555.
