A Huge Change Could Be Coming For Melbourne Learner Drivers!
A big change could arrive soon for learner drivers.
Victoria’s Parliament's Law Reform Road and Community Safety Committee has spent several months investigating whether to lower the probationary driving age to seventeen.
And now the committee has heard from road experts and dozens of teens about the proposal with the final report finally being tabled in Parliament this morning.
The committee has now recommended the driving age should be lowered to 17 in Victoria as it does not believe there is a big risk associated with drivers aged 17 to those who are 18.
A decision will be made in the coming weeks.
