Adelaide Designer Reveals The Secrets To Looking Good
With the mercury set to rise, the beach is a popular spot for many seeking some relief from the heat, but not everyone feels comfortable stripping down in front of the crowds.
A local designer is hoping to alleviate the stress, with a range of bathers that promise to flatter you in all the right places. Adelaide designer Kate Campbell is the creator of bathing line Kato Swim, which offers a selection of bathers for all shapes and sizes.
Kate says women typically fall into three categories, athletic, apple or hourglass figure and it's vital to identify which shape you are before you can dress to impress.
She suggests one piece bathers are the perfect solution, for women with an apple shape, as it will take the focus off the stomach and conceal their rounder waist. Some of the world's biggest stars are currently rocking the one piece, so there's no need to feel mumsy about it anymore.
“To make your waist look more narrow, a one piece, with contrasting side panels and a V neckline will create a more hourglass shape,” says Kate Campbell.
If you're blessed with an athletic frame, but are desperately looking to add the appearance of a bigger bust, Kate advises bright prints. She says it's all about tricking the eye!
“A number of my designs use ruffles, padding and bright prints to make those with a smaller bust, appear much larger,” says Kate Campbell.
Kate says the easiest figure to dress is the hourglass, with endless options that will flatter. She suggests looking for tops with support, an underwire or molded cups with sturdy straps.
