QANTAS To Introduce Non-Stop Flights From Aust To EUROPE!
If you’ve ever travelled to Europe, you’ll know that the flights are PUNISHING.
Taking up to 30 hours, possibly longer, the stopovers prolong your journey to such an extend that you lose a day of your precious holiday simply in transit. Well, enough of that.
As early as next year, QANTAS are predicting non-stop flights to Europe after taking delivery of new ‘Dreamliners’.
Qantas is looking at direct flights between Perth and London as a 'real option' when the airline launches its first 787-9 Dreamliners.
Long-haul routes between Sydney and Chicago and Melbourne and Dallas are also on the table, according to a report on the Daily Mail.
The 787-9 Dreamliner, built by Boeing, costs $345 million AUD. A Qantas spokesman told Daily Mail Australia that price varied according to the plane's specifications and the amount bought.
Qantas will buy eight of the 787-9s, with the goal of gradually replacing its older Boeing 747s across 2018 and 2019.
So, because I know you’re wondering, what’s different about the 787-9 Dreamliners?
Alan Joyce, CEO of QANTAS says, 'They have larger windows, improved cabin pressure and experience a reduction in turbulence'.
