'Husband Calling' Means There's Now A Sport For Everyone
So, you’ve heard of wife carrying competitions, right?
Well, there’s a competition where you can take home a ribbon for calling for your husband the old-fashioned way.
You know, by yelling.
At the Iowa State Fair, women from all walks of life would get up on stage, and yell for their husbands. Some real, some imagined.
Some didn’t even need the microphone, just cupped hands to create their own megaphone while, for miles, we imagine men would look up in alarm.
This year, 65-year-old Rose Beauregard told local news outlets she practiced while out camping, letting loose in the great outdoors with two very long syllables: “Cliffffffff-orrrrd!"
The technique paid off, she beat 10 other competitors.
