Heather Locklear Placed On 5150 Psychiatric Hold
Former Melrose Place star Heather Locklear has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after allegedly beating up her boyfriend before eventually throwing him out of her house on the weekend.
A family source revealed the shocking news to DailyMail.com, with the involuntary hold meaning Locklear could be detained in the hospital for up to 72 hours for evaluation and treatment.
This latest news comes after the troubled actress has been in and out of rehab and arrested several times over incidents involving alcohol and domestic violence.
Locklear, 57, was arrested in June, after driving drunk and crashing her car into a pylon on the grounds of her California home.
She then attacked the police officers who came to her aid and was arrested before being released and then allegedly overdosing six hours later.
Locklear was then placed on a 5250 psychiatric hold, which lasts for up to 14 days and includes a five-day detox as well as mental evaluation.
That arrest occurred a week after Locklear was cuffed and taken to hospital after choking her elderly mother Diane, 85, and threatening to harm herself.

The troubled star allegedly checked into a detox center but checked herself out again and drank a bottle of tequila before later attempting to drive off in her Porsche.
When police responded to a disturbance call at her house, Locklear allegedly punched a police officer who attempted to separate her from her family.
In February, Locklear was arrested for felony domestic violence and battery on a police officer after police were called to her home for a disturbance.
