Drinking In An Uber Is ILLEGAL
An UbeR RIDER WAS slapped with a $200 fine for drinking a beer in an Uber.
The unlucky WA rider was spotted chugging a beer in an Uber by a traffic patrol officer before trying to hide his bevvy under his seat.
The guy claims he wasn't aware of the laws surrounding drinking in a ride-share.
WA law states it is an offence to drink alcohol in public, which includes inside cars and on public transport – including ride shares like Uber and taxis.
So just a heads up, you can't get litty in an Uber or you risk getting your account deactivated.
