Ben Cousins Arrested For Third Time
Ben Cousins has been arrested for the third time in as many weeks.
The former AFL player was taken into police custody on Monday in Perth, following an incident in the southern suburb of Canning Vale.
Police were called to the area after reports flooded in of a vehicle driving erratically around 11am.
Cousins was taken to hospital for a health assessment following the arrest, during which he allegedly tried to flee police.
The 36-year-old has previously admitted to using drugs including ice and cocaine, and is being urged to seek further medical advice and treatment.
Cousins’ former manager, Ricky Nixon, told the Herald Sun, “No one knows exactly what the problem is and even Ben might not know.
“But after three incidents in three weeks, for the sake of his family and his kids it is time for intervention. This requires intervention by people who are sit down with him and medically assess the situation.”
