One Direction Reunion: Ticketmaster Lists New Concert Date
Attention Directioners!
Grab yourself a seat, some tissues, and a piece of your favourite One Direction merch (not mandatory but why not?), because this news is going to leave you 'Ready to Run' to your nearest Ticketmaster outlet.
Let's set the scene first.
Yesterday marked the eight year anniversary of the sensational day that the British boyband formed, and changed the world (well, ours anyway).
However, it wasn't until the band's official Twitter page tweeted a bunch of iconic lyrics that our inner fangirl crawled out from the deep depths of despair into this cold, post-1D world.
We can make it 'til the end, nothing can come between you and I #8YearsofOneDirection

So get out, get out, get out of my head, and fall in to my arms instead #8YearsofOneDirection

You and me got a whole lot of history, we could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen! #8YearsofOneDirection

Oh, but it didn't stop there.
Ticketmaster briefly uploaded a listing for December 21, 2020, at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne. The listing was quickly taken down but not before fans took screenshots of the page, and subsequently shared it across the web.
i’m??so???confused?? i went onto ticket master (through a link for some reason it’s not on when you go on the website) and went onto the ‘Eithad Stadium’ if you scroll down to dec 31 it says there is a one direction tour: on the road again 2020??? is this like someone joking or- pic.twitter.com/fiYYIK8zix

Was it just a technical glitch or has Ticketmaster got something planned, and accidentally made the event public before they were supposed to?
Well, unfortunately, a representative for One Direction told the Evening Standard that "There are no gigs planned for One Direction currently." Yes, this is sad, but let's look on the bright side - they said 'currently' which means a reunion may still be on the cards... right?
For now, we are all getting some super nostalgic tweets from Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, and yes, we are crying.
#8YearsOfOneDirection what an incredible 8 years it’s been with my brothers! Thank you to all the fans that are still supporting and following our journeys. Love LP ❤
