Justin Timberlake Visits Texas School Shooting Victim

While in Houston for his Man of the Woods Tour, Justin Timberlake reportedly made a pitstop at a Texas hospital to meet a survivor of the Santa Fe High School shooting.

The "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer met 16-year-old Sarah Salazar, with gift in hand, as she rested in the intensive care unit after undergoing an extensive emergency operation.

Salazar was one of the 13 victims injured during the May 18 shooting, in which a 17-year-old gunman opened fire, killing 10 people.

"Justin Timberlake visited Sarah Salazar this morning and brought her a gift," Salazar's mother, Sonia Lopez-Puentes, wrote along with a photo of the singer posing next to the teen in hospital.

GoFundMe page for Salazar says she in the intensive care unit and at "the beginning of a long road to recovery" after having emergency surgery. Her aunt, who created the page, writes, "Her shoulder was shattered. Her mandible is fractured and she also has several rib fractures. She was shot from the neck down to her thigh. She is intubated and is recovering from the trauma to her neck vessels.  After that, she will require several surgeries."

In response to the horrific event, Texas-born singer Kelly Clarkson also delivered a powerful speech on the shooting at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.

"I'm a Texas girl and my home state has had so many tragedies this past year. And once again, y’all, we’re grieving for more kids that have died for absolutely no reason at all. . .” Clarkson said. “I’m so sick of ‘moment of silence.’ It’s not working. Like, obviously. Sorry. Why don’t we not do a moment of silence? Why don’t we do a moment of action? Why don’t we do a moment of change? Why don’t we change what is happening? Because it’s horrible."
