Rolf Harris Placed Under House Arrest After 'PR Disaster'
Former entertainer Rolf Harris has reportedly been placed under house arrest by his own family after he was spotted walking into a school while on probation, following his release from prison.
Harris has since been spoken to by police and his probation officials after walking into Oldfield Primary School in Maidenhead, UK, and waving at children.
UK newspaper The Sun reported that the Ministry of Justice is now reviewing his release from prison after serving three years for historical sex offences. They will make a decision as to whether he has breached the terms of his parole.
Another newspaper, the Daily Star Sunday, has since reported that his family have now ordered him not to leave the house without permission.
A family friend has reportedly said “There’s a lot of upset in the Harris house.''
“Bindi is beside herself as she’s been working so hard on all of the upcoming books and a documentary to try to sell the good side of her dad.''
“The upshot seems to be like house arrest, and Rolf now has to ask permission from his management team and handler if he wants to leave the house.''
“They’re saying that it’s a PR disaster and are wondering what he was thinking.”
Neighbours, however, have leapt to Harris’ defence saying he had not trespassed on the grounds, with one man saying ‘It’s horrendous. You know his only interest was looking at some wooden sculptures.'
