The Kissing Booth Is Officially Getting A Sequel

Following the incredible news that To All The Boys I Loved Before is getting a second instalment, another one of our favourite Netflix rom-coms is officially getting a sequel!

Prepare to squeal with excitement because today Netflix announced that ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ if actually happening.

They announced the news in a post to Instagram with two of the original film’s stars, Joey King, who plays Elle, and Joel Courtney, who plays her BFF Lee.

In the clip, that reminds us of some sort of DIY show from the Lifestyle channel, Elle and Lee are seen getting back on the tools before it’s revealed that they have built a second kissing booth.

They then start chanting, “number two, number two, number two!” while the pots’s caption officially reveals the exciting news, saying, “@thekissingboothnetflix is coming back for a sequel”.

And we honestly couldn’t be more excited! But of course there is one dampener on this otherwise brilliant news…

The film’s resident hunk, and Elle’s love interest in the movie (plus Joey King’s real life rumoured boyfriend) Jacob Elordi isn’t in the announcement vid, leaving us worried that he might not be in the sequel (and if this is the case Netflix, we will riot).

But other than that, we’re all smiles over here and getting the popcorn ready as we speak!

In case you didn’t watch the first film, it follows best friends Elle and Lee as they try to survive through the twists and turns of high school. Everything’s cool until drama ensues when Elle falls in love with the one guy off limits to her, Lee’s older brother Noah.

Bring on round 2!
