Meryl Streep Is Joining ‘Big Little Lies’ For Season 2
If you’re a fan of Big Little Lies, you’re certainly not a minority - the show, which was brought to life on screen by the uber talented combo of Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, has absolutely killed it during awards season, raking in Emmys an SAGs like it’s going out of fashion.
However, not only have all of the stars signed on for season two, following the hugely successful first season, but one of the world’s biggest stars is set to join them on screen - the one and only Meryl Streep.
Streep has signed on to play Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Nicole Kidman’s character’s deceased husband, Perry Wright (played by Alexander Skarsgård).
Following Perry’s death in the show’s first season finale, Wright arrives in Monterey concerned for the well-being of her grandchildren and searching for answers, Variety reported Wednesday.
No doubt she’s going to be causing a shit storm looking for answers… and we can’t wait to watch.
