Louis Tomlinson Speaks Out After Tribute To His Late Mother
Louis Tomlinson had the X Factor audience in tears, after he performed an emotional tribute to his late mother on Saturday during the show’s season finale.
The former One Direction singer performed his new single ‘Just Hold On,’ in honour of his mum Johannah Deakin, who tragically passed away on Wednesday, after losing her battle to leukemia.
Following his performance, the 24-year-old musician, who recently left 1D to pursue a solo career, took to Twitter to share a heartbreaking message.
That was harder than I ever imagined. I want to thank everyone around me and all of the amazing fans out there that made that so special!— Louis Tomlinson (@Louis_Tomlinson) December 11, 2016
Feeling so much love around me and my family . Mum would have been so fucking proud ( sorry for swearing mum 😝 ) love you !— Louis Tomlinson (@Louis_Tomlinson) December 11, 2016
Louis shot to fame on the reality singing show in 2010, making the performance even more sentimental.
Loui’s mentor Simon Cowell was left in awe following his performance, telling the singer: “You know, your mom was so proud of you Louis. She’s watching down on you now and you’ve done her proud.”
