Heather Locklear In Hospital For Threatening To Kill Herself
Heather Locklear has reportedly been hospitalised for a psychological evaluation after she threatened to take her own life following a violent confrontation with her parents at her home in LA.
TMZ are saying that the 56-year-old Melrose Place actress was taken to hospital after her mother contacted police, claiming that her daughter was threatening to harm herself with a gun.
A spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff’s department told ET that they responded to a distress call at the actresses him at about 3:50pm on Sunday, local time.
“Our deputies responded, along with Ventura County Fire,” said the spokesperson. “When we responded and contacted the person at the residence, [we] determined that there was no crime. It was strictly a medical call. There was a patient that was transported to a local hospital.”
According to dispatch audio from the call made to law enforcement, a female caller can be heard saying that Locklear was “acting erratically” and “trying to find gun to shoot herself.”
According to TMZ, a source said that Locklear had become agitated earlier in the day and she became violent after her parents visited her home to check on her. The source claimed that Locklear hit her father and choked her mother.
This hospitalisation is the second troublesome incident for the actress in the past few months after the Hollywood icon was arrested back in February for an alleged domestic violence incident on her boyfriend, Chris Heisser and battery on a police officer as well as resisting an officer.
