Australia’s Got Talent Judges And Host Revealed For 2019
Australia’s Got Talent is coming back to our TV screens in 2019 and now we finally know which celebrities have been signed on to host and form the judging panel, with one very surprising name amongst the mix.
It was announced that the talent program would be renewed for another season after a long hiatus when the show’s Instagram account posted it’s first post in more than two years.
“Get set to be entertained,” the AGT account wrote in December last year. “The biggest show in the world is back on @channel7! If you’re the best at what you do and know how to thrill a crowd, AGT could make you a superstar! Apply now.”
The all new show will also bring with it an all new judging panel but fans of the show have been left questioning the choice of one celebrity.
Seven announced that the judges for the show’s 9th season would comprise of actor and Full Monty host Shane Jacobson, US singer from the Pussycat Dolls Nicole Scherzinger, actor Lucy Durack and chef/MKR judge Manu Feildel!

So proud to welcome our Australia’s Got Talent Judges for 2019! Grammy-nominated singer NICOLE SCHERZINGER, acclaimed chef and #MKR judge MANU FEILDEL, AFI winning actor/comedian SHANE JACOBSON & stage/screen star LUCY DURACK. While three of the judges are from entertainment backgrounds, many people started commenting on the Instagram post questioning why Manu has been signed on for the role.
Although he has judging experience having been on MKR for 10 seasons now, people questioned his ability to judge entertainment and performance acts.
“Not really sure why Manus is a judge,” wrote one social media user.
“He’s not even remotely an entertainer lol,” said another.
“WTF Manu as a judge,” added someone else.
But funnily enough, it turns out that Manu actually does have a secret background in the entertainment industry!
As it turns out, the renowned chef actually went to amateur circus school and saw a life as a professional clown before making a name for himself in the kitchen!
So we reckon Manu will definitely be the perfect guy to judge all of those weird and whacky performances that tend to audition for AGT.
And he’s definitely very excited about the new role!
“Im super excited,” Manu said. “I’m a huge fan of good old entertainment. It’s the kind of family show I’d like to watch myself. It’s simply entertaining for all ages. It just puts a smile on your face. Expect fun. Fun and lots of laughs.”
Along with the judging panel, the Channel Seven program also announced that powerhouse singer Ricki-Lee Coulter will be the host.
