The Reason Selena Gomez CANCELLED Her Previous Aussie Tour
Selena Gomez is currently touring Australia with her 'Revival' tour, in what is her first time down under.
Back in 2014, Selena was due to tour the country before she cancelled her a couple of months before she arrived.
At the time, a statement was released on behalf of the superstar saying ''My fans are so important to me, and I would never want to disappoint them. But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself to be the best person I can be. To my fans, I sincerely apologise, and I hope you guys know how much each and every one of you means to me.''
Speculation at the time put the cancellation down to ''poor ticket sales'', although it was later confirmed that sales were strong.
However, Selena spoke during her second Melbourne concert at Margaret Court Arena and said she was disappointed her tour was cancelled but ''well to be real, I kinda just lost my mind for a second.''
It seems as if Selena was struggling during that time, with the tour cancelled just days after she stormed off stage in Los Angeles when she walked off stage after swearing and dropping her microphone.
She has never publicly commentated on the reason for cancellation but chose her second show to tell fans about the reason why.
During the concert, Selena also said that this was a ''transition'' album for her image and people will be surprised by the new album she is currently ''creating.''
Selena's tour in Australia continues in Sydney on Tuesday evening, with Brisbane hosting the singer for her final date on Thursday.
