Why Khloe Kardashian Refuses To Get Her Eyebrows Threaded
When we started reading Khloe Kardashian's blog about her hair removal techniques, we laughed.
And then we got really scared; the 32-year-old has brought a super gross - and super possible - reality to our attention and we are not here for it at all.
The post, which begins "With swim suit season around the corner, it's time to get our hairy situations under control", tackles the usual techniques, strongly praising laser hair removal for pretty much everywhere.
"It's so much easier than having to shave every single day," Khloe wrote. "I go to my girl at a place called Sev Laser.
"Kylie goes here too and we loooove it!"
But when Khloe moved on to the topic of eyebrows, things got a little... hairy.
"I always darken my brows because they are naturally light, but to shape them, I wax and never, ever thread," the reality star continued."
"I heard the grossest story about threading!"
"Someone had herpes on their mouth and then threaded a clients brows!"
"I don't thread because someone's saliva might be going on my face!"
Horrifyingly, PEOPLE points out that, actually, the scenario is totally and utterly possible; they've quoted a Time article with a dermatologist called Amy Derick, who confirms that threading "does carry health risks, including the potential spread of the herpes virus and staph infections through dirty threads and broken skin."
Maybe it's a good thing there's a new eyebrow trend on the way, then?
