Jenna Dewan Admits To Giving Channing Tatum An Ultimatum
The beginning of a relationship certainly isn't the easiest situation to navigate - are we dating? Are we exclusive? Do you like, like him like him? - but from now on we're taking all of our romantic cues from Jenna Dewan Tatum, she of the banging bod and sick dance skills.
Queen Jenna also happens to be married to Magic Mike himself and all because, it turns out, of her insistence on Channing Tatum stepping up.
(See what we did there? Step Up? Sorry.)
"I said, 'Well look, if you want to date other people and be free, that's totally fine'," the 36-year-old said during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "'But we're not gonna hang out and watch movies.'"
"'You have to figure out what you want, because I want a relationship.'"
Three days later, the certified hunk was banging down Jenna's door wearing nothing but "a sombrero, underwear and Ugg boots".
What a mental image.
"He said he had the chance to be free, and he couldn't stop thinking about me," Jenna added.
Unfortunately the couple, who got married in 2009, didn't have the chance to enjoy their new romance in secret for very long.
"The next morning, he was in my room and I go to set, because I had an earlier call time," the World of Dance host explained.
"I'm getting hair and make-up done and an hour goes by and the production assistants go, 'We can't find Channing. We don't know where he is. He's not in his room. We've banged on his door and called his room.'
"And I called a PA over and said, 'He's in my room.'"
When Channing eventually surfaced, the crew gave him a standing ovation and clapped him onto set and the rest, as they say, is history.
